Among the Fall Colors in Maine
Yellow!
You know how sometimes we just need to step away from the usual routine and breathe for a while? That's exactly what this little trip to Maine turned out to be a pause, a reset, and a reminder that life has its own gentle rhythm. Surrounded by fall colors, laughter, and quiet moments, I ended up learning more than I expected about change, letting go, and simply being present.
I recently traveled to Maine with my roommates and friends to witness the fall colors and honestly, every mile we drove felt like moving closer to something sacred. As if we were slowly entering a quiet, gently heaven painted in shades of amber, rust and gold. The trees stood there like patient artists, each leaf an intentional brushstroke.
Fall always amazes me. Nature performs this dramatic transformation every year, and yet we never stop being in awe of it. We celebrate the changing colors of leaves, but when it comes to humans, we struggle to accept change in each other. Isn't it strange? The very thing that is most constant in life, CHANGE is the one thing we resist the most.
Watching the leaves fall made me think about the art of letting go. Nature does it so gracefully. A tree does not cling to a lead that no longer serves its growth. It releases. It trusts. It knows that spring will return, that new leaves will come, that life will bloom again.
Standing there among the colors, I felt peace but also a quiet sadness. Because soon, those very trees will stand bare. No leaves, no color, just branches covered with snow and silence. And yet...we still wait for fall every single year. Have you ever wondered how the tress must be feeling through these seasons? From bursting into color, to shedding everything, to standing still in winter, to sprouting new life in spring.
What a patience! What a resilience! What a faith!
They teach us without saying a word that:
Spending time in nature feels like meeting a part of myself I had forgotten i.e., a quieter, kind, more thoughtful part. And Maine was a reminder that the nature speaks, softly but we have to slow down to listen.
It was a trip etched in my heart forever.
To be continued...
Trying to process the change

This is beautiful 😌
